String Instrument

Stringed instruments, which are also known as chordophones, are instruments in which the sound is produced by the vibration of stretched strings. These strings can be made from animal gut, silk, metal, nylon, and plastic. In some stringed instruments such as the guitar, the vibration of the string is created by plucking the strings with your fingers or a pick, and in some others, the vibration is created by rubbing the strings with a bow like a violin or hitting the strings with a light hammer. In most stringed instruments, the sound produced by the vibration of the string is amplified by a hollow chamber. Each of these methods produces a different sound in terms of type and frequency, and you should choose one according to your taste and interest and enter the great world of music. Although there are approximately more than 300 instruments in the world that belong to the string family, the most common orchestral string instruments include the violin, viola, cello, harp, and double bass.
